Bae v Anchorage Fire & Casualty Insurance Co.: On behalf of Korean American merchants who were victims of the 1992 civil unrest, APALC sues insurance carriers, agencies and brokers for denying $15 million in claims or offering settlements that are a fraction of the original coverage. Although defendant insurance companies declare bankruptcy, APALC pursues individual insurance agents and receives some compensation for merchants.
