Director of Finance

Advancing Justice-LA seeks an experienced and results-oriented finance executive to help optimize and strengthen the internal capacity of a complex, high-impact organization with an annual budget of $13 million. This position requires strong technical financial skills and planning, decision-making, and supervision experience. The Director of Finance will be expected to recommend and implement high-level systems changes involving finances and budgeting, as well as handle day-to-day fiscal issues as needed, including supervising three accounting staff.  The Director of Finance will report to the Executive Director and advise executive management team (Executive Director and Vice-Presidents) on financial and budgeting issues related to the management of the organization.

Community Legal Advocate - Bilingual (Thai/English)

Advancing Justice-LA seeks a full-time bilingual Legal Advocate (must be bilingual in Thai/English), to staff a legal helpline that expands access to justice for low-income limited English speaking immigrants. The Asian Language Legal Intake Program (ALLIP) is recognized nationally as a model for its innovation and its ability to expand legal representation and advice to Asian clients in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Grant Writer

Advancing Justice-LA seeks a motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative Grant Writer to work with Development and senior staff to cultivate funding opportunities and secure grant funding to help meet the annual operating budget of $ 13 million for the multiple programs serving AANHPI communities. Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Giving, the Grant Writer will help develop and execute foundation, corporate, and government grant proposals.

Asian Language Legal Intake Project (ALLIP) Project Director

Advancing Justice-LA seeks a Project Director to oversee operation of legal helplines that increase access to justice for low-income, limited English speaking immigrants. The Project Director will supervise advocates that conduct in-language legal intakes for all of Advancing Justice - LA’s substantive legal programs, including family law, domestic violence, immigration, employment, and civil rights. The Project Director also will be responsible for expanding services to include government benefits consultations. This position will report to the Direct Services Director.
