Policy Advocate - Voting Rights

Michelle Lim is the Voting Rights Policy Advocate at Asian Americans Advancing Justice-LA. Through her advocacy on election-related policies, Michelle hopes to ensure that AANHPI communities can fully participate and be empowered through the democratic process. Her work includes expanding access to voting for minority and limited English proficient voters.

Prior to Advancing Justice-LA, Michelle lived in New York City, where she organized the Korean American community, including newly-arrived Korean immigrants and undocumented youth. She worked on local issue campaigns concerning access to affordable housing in the Flushing area, and mobilized DREAMers to advance immigrant rights. She participated in voter engagement efforts in various AAPI neighborhoods so that LEP voters could cast informed ballots.
