Project Director - SAFE

Chung, Esq.

Sandra Chung is the Project Director of the Survivor and Family Empowerment (SAFE) Project. The SAFE Project provides family law services with a focus on serving domestic violence survivors, as well as the low-income and limited-English proficient community.

Prior to joining Advancing Justice – LA, Ms. Chung worked at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA), starting out as a law clerk in the Asian & Pacific Islander Unit assisting survivors with family law and immigration relief, and later becoming a staff attorney in LAFLA’s Eviction Defense Center.

Ms. Chung served as a board of governor for the Korean American Bar Association from 2015 through 2018 and a board of governor for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association in 2017.

Ms. Chung earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School.
